It supports local merchants like Fa La Lo and nonprofit organizations such as Equal Exchange, Handcrafting Justice, Hopecraft Kenya, Mayan Hands, and Sustainable Harvest International. Fair trade products include jewelry, vintage items, women's clothing and accessories, toys and baby items, indigenous art, ornaments, leather items and fair trade coffee, tea and chocolate. Shoppers will also have an opportunity to help plant a garden or a chocolate forest by supporting a family in Central America.

The “Art on the Hill” open studios with the artists and artisans of the Wentworth Dennett School in Kittery, Maine, returns on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 26 and 27, from 10 am to 5 pm. The repurposed building houses painters, sculptors, potters, jewelers and designers. Look for the big yellow chair in front of 78 Government St.
That same weekend, the small independently owned businesses of Kittery Foreside host “Shop the Square.” This holiday open house, held in conjunction with “Art on the Hill,” includes AJ's Wood Grill Pizza, Doo, D. Pratt Framer, Five O'Clock Fox, Get Polished, Just Us Chickens, K-MZ, Buoy, Kittery Dance Hall, The Red Door Pottery Studio, Second Christian Congregational Church of Christ and Tulsi Indian Restaurant.
