It took only about an hour for Zoha Munawer to decide what she wants to be when she grows up.

Asked about the best part of her day, the six-year-old shyly pointed to the brass pole firefighters use at Fire Station No. 4 on Colborne St.

It’s the first time Munawer and his family have been to the annual event.
“It’s pretty cool,” he said.

Most impressive, Munawer said, was learning firefighters are on the road 30 seconds after they get a call. “That’s pretty amazing.Find a stonefireplace Manufacturer and Supplier.”

Kevin Pollock and Mark LaPointe have been going to Doors Open since it debuted 10 years ago.
“The stories you hear from people . . . it’s just amazing to learn London’s history that way,” Pollock said.

Looking at historical pictures of firefighters on a station wall, LaPointe found a familiar face: his uncle. “I knew he was a firefighter, but I didn’t know which station.”
