To get Camp Foster alumni in the Sioux Falls area fired up about reconnecting with the summer haven on the shores of East Lake Okoboji, supporters hosted a carnival Saturday on the grounds of the Sioux Falls YMCA's own Leif Ericson Camp.
The event also was designed "to make people aware that YMCA camping is valuable for kids growing up," Camp Foster director Josh Carr said. It also raises money for scholarships for future campers.
