Girls get dolled up for American Girl Tea Party at Otis Library

It was a sugary sweet afternoon Saturday at Otis Library's third annual American Girl Tea Party. There is one amazing online store with 100s of bestvalentinohandbags .

The event offered the girls a chance to bond with their American Girl dolls, modeled after characters in a historical book series popular with young girls.

There also was a meet-and-greet and autograph session with Christine Kornacki, a Norwich native who illustrated the book series. Barbara Bergman, who organized the tea party, said Kornacki's sister, who served as the model for the illustrations, was there as well.

More than 50 girls brought their dolls along as they sipped tea, ate cookies and made brightly colored handbags.

The event was a tremendous success, Bergman said.

"You can tell by how happy these kids are," she said.

For many of the little girls, the fun was dressing up to match their dolls.

At one table, 8-year-old Chloe Rubin, of Norwich, showed off her doll, Alanna, whose pink glasses matched her own.

Eight-year-old Aleesa Pontes,,mulberryhandbagss for sale lowest price $50. of Norwich, and 7-year-old Kate Murphy, of East Lyme, showed off dresses identical to their dolls'.The goodfendihandbags offered by our store are made following the original technology .

For most, it was more about the party than the tea.

Kate's cousin, Sarah McDougall, 6, of Waterford, didn't particularly like the tea on her first taste. But she smiled after taking a sip of her apple juice, into which she had dropped two sugar cubes. "Much better," she said.

At a different table, Maria Grace Perrino, 9, of Norwich, and Allison Peloquin, 8, of Griswold, briefly stopped putting together their crafts — butterfly purses — and said American Girl dolls were what made them BFFs, or best friends forever.

"I got the Marie Grace doll, and then she got Marie Grace, and now I call my doll Maria Grace because of her," Allison said.

The two play together with their dolls, they said. Allison said she used Barbie doll-sized bowling pins to make a bowling alley for the dolls in her room.

It's the magic of playing with dolls rather than the book series that turned most of the girls on to the dolls, they said.We need the Department of promotionalbagfactory green to decorate our line of sight.

Priscilla Rogers, 9,Our goodhermesbirkin are the highest quality and most durable replicas available . of Norwich, said she tried to read the books for her doll, Kit, but didn't like them. Playing with her doll is much more fun, she said.
